School Outreach Programs

Can't bring your class to Worldways? Don't worry we will come to you!!

Worldways has welcomed nearly a half million visitors and participants in outreach programs since 1996.

Over 600 schools, childcare centers, and summer camps have booked educational field trips to our museum.

We are relocating our facility during the 2007-2008 school year.

While we are relocating we will bring the world to your students.

We have two outreach programs you can choose from "Let's Fly Away" and "Cultural Presentation.

Let's Fly Away Program

Let's Fly Away Program will convert your school gym or auditorium into a different country.

It requires at least 5-8 adult volunteers, 6 tables, and space to accommodate 5 cultural stations.

Students will use hands-on activities to explore the living style, native crafts and games of the country of your choice.

Schools may schedule up to three sessions per day. The same program must be presented at each session.

Program length: 60 minutes a session

Grades: K-4

Size limit: 10-50 students per session

Price: *$200.00 one session (2nd session 15% off, 3rd session 30% off)

*Fees for all outreach programs are based on facilities within 25 miles of Worldways.

For facilities outside this distance, an additional 50 cents will be charged for each additional mile (each way).

Cultural Presentation Program

A Cultural Presentation Program brings a country into your classroom.

Students will learn about the living styles of a country. They will play traditional games and make a craft.

Countries to choose from: China, Mexico, Senegal (Africa), Korea, or Russia.

Schools may schedule up to 8 sessions per day. The same program must be presented at each session.

G.L.E. Standards: Social Studies K-4: 1E2, 2A1, 2B2, 2B4, 2C4, 2E5, 3A2, 3A3, 3A4, 3D2, 3D3, 3D6, 4C4, 4E4

Program length: 45 minutes (minimum of 2 sessions)

Grades: Pre K-4

Size limit: 10-30 students per session

Price*:$75.00 a session

Scout Outreach Programs

Worldways now offers girl scout badge workshops at your location.

We will provide all the materials necessary for your scouts to earn a scout badge in one day.

Girl Scout Badge Workshops we offer:

Brownies: Brownie Girl Scouts Around the World Try-It

Puppets, Dolls, & Plays Try-It

Juniors: World Neighbors Badge

Program length: 1.5 hours

Available Monday-Thursday afterschool

Minimum of 10 scouts- Maximum of 20 scouts

Price: $7.00 per scout
